Entaleq

Overview

The Shark Clicks team worked on developing the Entaleq application, which is considered one of the best platforms aimed at facilitating access to suitable places for people with special needs through the availability of accessibility standards. The application relies on collecting and analyzing a large number of real user experiences, providing an interactive database that includes reviews and all ratings for various places such as service centers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. This helps people with disabilities understand how well these places meet their different needs. The application also contributes to empowering users to plan their visits with greater confidence and awareness, enhancing the concept of social inclusion and improving quality of life through support for inclusive access and easier mobility.

Our Role

  1. We worked on analyzing the needs of users with special needs and developed a design strategy that strongly focuses on accessibility and ease of use.
  2. We designed the user experience and user interface (UX/UI) of the application to make it easier for users to search for places and review them smoothly.
  3. We worked on providing electronic payment services and payment gateways such as Fawry, Aman, Masary, Valu, and Apple Pay, and integration with the National Bank of Egypt’s electronic payment gateway through Visa and MasterCard, the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Arab African International Bank, Paymob for electronic payments, Cashier for electronic payments, payment via Meeza card, payment via electronic wallets, and payment via Vodafone Cash.
  4. We worked on building an interactive review and rating system for all places by users, with the ability to display details.
  5. We provided guidance and content within the application, such as how to obtain the PWD (Persons with Disabilities) card.
  6. We worked on improving data security and application performance to ensure a fast and stable experience.

The challenge

One of the challenges we faced was designing a platform that gathers a large amount of accurate accessibility information not only from specialists but also from regular users, while making the evaluation process simple and easy to use. This also required building a reliable database for all places, ensuring user interaction, and preparing a simple and understandable user experience for all different categories.

Our Approach

We began with a comprehensive study of the needs of people with disabilities and special needs and how they evaluate places. Then we designed a usage flow within the application that allows searching for places, reading reviews, adding personal ratings, and sharing different experiences. We also designed the interfaces in a clear and simple way with distinct colors and icons that express accessibility clearly. During development, we used a robust database system that supports adding new places and reviews by users, along with a secure and easy review system. We also added useful guidelines within the application, such as how to obtain a PWD card and how to prepare a customized vehicle for people with special needs and disabilities. In addition, we conducted performance and usability testing to ensure the application works smoothly and responds well to users.

Customer Journey

From the beginning, we collaborated with the Entaleq team to define goals and a vision focused on empowering people with special needs and disabilities. The client participated in all design sessions and prototype reviews, as well as in the development phase and the evaluation of the experience and security after launch. The application enabled users to actively interact by submitting their ratings and reviews of places, which enhances the database of accessible and available locations and helps spread the culture of inclusion and accessibility within society.
