Freelance Yard

Overview

The Shark Clicks team worked on developing the Freelance Yard platform, which is considered one of the leading freelance platforms that brings together freelancers and project owners in the most professional ways and supports the growth of freelancing in local markets. We focused on improving the user interface, organizing platform functionalities, and enhancing technical performance to deliver a reliable and easy user experience for both clients and freelancers. We also paid close attention to building a clear structure for project management and effective communication between both parties. The platform was designed using best practices to ensure ease of navigation and quick access to essential services, in addition to adhering to security standards and data protection to create a safe and reliable digital work environment. Our main goal was to enhance trust and support the sustainability of freelancing in a professional manner.

Our Role

  1. We analyzed the existing platform along with all market needs and the freelance target audience.
  2. We designed the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) across all job pages, profiles, and proposals.
  3. We worked on providing electronic payment services and payment gateways such as Fawry, Aman, Masary, ValU, and Apple Pay, as well as integration with the National Bank of Egypt’s electronic payment gateway through Visa and MasterCard, Commercial International Bank (CIB), Paymob for electronic payments, Kashier for electronic payments, Amazon Payments, PayTabs for payments, payments via Meeza Card, electronic wallets, and Vodafone Cash.
  4. We developed job posting and project application features, messaging between both parties, and the profile system.
  5. We integrated the payment system within the platform to ensure clear and secure transactions.
  6. We improved the platform’s performance and worked on enhancing loading speed.
  7. We conducted comprehensive testing to ensure usability quality and platform stability.

The challenge

The main challenge was balancing the multiple functionalities of the platform while maintaining ease of use and high performance speed. It also required designing a consistent and cohesive experience that serves both freelancers and project owners without complexity. Additionally, it was essential for the platform to be secure for payments and capable of managing multiple projects for both freelancers and employers.

Our Approach

Our implementation process began with studying freelance job seekers, followed by designing the User Flow for key tasks such as posting a project, messaging, and submitting proposals. We designed clear and elegant interfaces using professional color schemes and a distinctive visual identity. We then moved on to technical development, building the platform with a flexible architecture that supports growth and ensures stable and strong performance. We also added the payment system and seamlessly integrated it within the platform. Before launch, we conducted multiple performance and user experience tests to ensure platform security and high speed, and we implemented improvements based on all feedback received.
