Helm

Overview

The Shark Clicks team worked on developing the Helm Egypt platform, which is considered one of the leading social institutions that aims to integrate people with special needs into the workplace and organizations. In this project, we focused on providing integrated solutions for companies through strategic investments and the implementation of multiple programs for employing people with disabilities. We also developed accessibility and inclusion policies within workplaces and the market. Additionally, we worked on designing a practical framework to help organizations achieve compliance with sustainability and inclusion standards. The platform was developed using the easiest methods to facilitate access between companies and talents from people with special needs. We ensured that the proposed solutions are easy to implement and flexible according to the needs of all entities. The main goal was to support a fair work environment and enhance opportunities for meaningful and effective participation for everyone.

Our Role

  1. We designed a professional website interface that clearly and attractively showcases the institution’s programs, such as employment and the integration of people with special needs.
  2. We developed a page structure to present services such as Accessibility Audits and training for people with disabilities, supported by visual content that reinforces the message.
  3. We worked on providing electronic payment services and payment gateways such as Fawry, Aman, Masary, ValU, and Apple Pay, in addition to integration with the National Bank of Egypt’s electronic payment gateway through Visa and MasterCard, Commercial International Bank (CIB), Arab African International Bank, Kashier for electronic payments, payments via Meeza Card, electronic wallets, and Vodafone Cash.
  4. We built a system to display impactful statistics and data, including more than 1,000 accessibility audits and over 1,500 empowerment initiatives for people with special needs on the website, to ensure the positive impact of the institution.
  5. We ensured that the website is fully responsive and works professionally across different devices, while enhancing the user experience for all target groups, whether individuals or organizations.
  6. We conducted comprehensive testing and a full user experience evaluation to ensure fast and clear navigation for all visitors, including the institution and its partners.

The challenge

We faced several challenges, starting with working on changing the culture within some organizations to encourage the inclusion of people with special needs in the workplace. Secondly, we worked on implementing accessibility standards across all traditional work environments, which required restructuring both infrastructure and technical systems. Thirdly, we ensured that training and employment programs are effective and long-term rather than temporary initiatives.

Our Approach

Our implementation process began with holding sessions with the client to understand the institution’s needs and vision. We then conducted extensive accessibility audits and designed multiple customized training programs for management and employees. We developed strategic employment plans and provided consultations to build integrated corporate identities. We also organized events and workshops that included all stakeholders to enhance trust and ensure successful inclusion.

Customer Journey

One of the most important stages we go through is the client journey, which is considered a key phase in delivering the project professionally. We collaborated with Helm Egypt from the beginning to review outcomes and define objectives. They also participated with us in every stage of audits, workshops, and training, which enabled us to launch highly effective and sustainable inclusion programs and helped improve infrastructure and workplace policies within organizations.
